Ian Jeffery joined the Law Society as Chief Executive in September 2022 following a long career as a practising solicitor.

Ian joined Lewis Silkin in 1990 and qualified as a solicitor in 1992. After qualification he specialised in information technology and intellectual property, becoming a partner in 1998 and managing partner in 2005. He then led the firm as managing partner and CEO for 15 years. During this time at the helm, he led the growth of the firm domestically and internationally, helping establish a reputation for being one of the most innovative large law firms.

As the Chief Executive of the Law Society, Ian now leads the organisation’s work in promoting, protecting and supporting the solicitor profession, access to justice and the rule of law.

Prior to Aderant, Angela worked as an eBilling coordinator, managing over 120 eBilled clients with outside counsel guidelines. From there, she became the project manager of the time & billing system migration project at the firm. During her tenure, she assisted in establishing best practices for the back office as well as paved the way to have the much needed position created for an Intake Specialist. Prior to leaving the firm, her T&B system project was ahead of schedule and under budget.
